Intent on something yet undone, 2018
Materials: two over-head projectors, two uranium glass vanity trays, steel, glass. Two overhead projectors occupy a bench, where two people might usually sit to view work. The projectors, that comprise elements of the work Intent on something yet undone, are positioned as if shoulder-to-shoulder, facing away from each other and towards adjacent gallery walls. Both project light through two uranium glass vanity trays; suspending the viewer’s gaze as the image reflects back and towards each other, further mirrored by the polished gallery floor. Dreaming of Dead Fish was an exhibition of newly commissioned artworks for Warrington Art Festival and exhibited at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery. The exhibition presented un-accessioned items in the museums collection alongside glass, soot, and slide film and projection. Images: Simon Liddiard
